Peer Academic Coaches

Peer academic coaches are undergraduate students who can help you schedule classes, build four-year plans, and connect with academic opportunities at IU.

How PACs can help you

PACs help students with:

  • Developing good time-management skills and study strategies
  • Setting goals to achieve academic success
  • Exploring majors, minors, certificate programs, and other academic opportunities
  • Brainstorming ways to get involved and gain experience
  • Preparing for academic advising appointments with degree planning tools
  • Navigating IU's academic resources

Scheduled appointments with Peer Academic Coaches are available starting the second week of the fall and spring semesters. Enter "Peer Academic Coach" or "PAC" in the "search for other advisor" field to find available appointments through the Student Appointment Scheduler.

Fall 2026 Drop-ins Hours

Mondays: 1:00-4:00 pm
Tuesday-Thursday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00-4:00 pm
Fridays: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00-3:00 pm 

Peer Academic Coaches not available during:

  • Labor Day, M Sept 7
  • Fall Break, F Oct 9
  • Thanksgiving Break, Nov. 22-28
  • Final Exam Week, Dec. 14-18
  • Winter Break

 PACs should not be considered a replacement for academic advisors.
